Time words used with the "present perfect"

Here are some notes and examples from class on time words used with the present perfect.


Present Perfect “time” Words: (from 6/19)
Ever (questions or negatives)
  • Have you ever been to California? 
  • No,  I haven’t ever been there.
Never (more common that "ever" in negative responses)
  • I’ve never been to CA.
Yet (questions and negatives)
  • Have you eaten lunch yet?
  • No, I haven’t eaten lunch yet?
Already (questions and “yes” answers)
  • Have you already eaten lunch?
  • Yes, I have already eaten lunch.
